BABULYA makes my stomach feel weird the moment I pull up to the house. I came here worried, thinking about my grandmother, but there’s also this quiet thought in my head about the house being empty. The place feels too big. Too still. No lights. No answers.
I walk inside and every step sounds loud. The walls feel close even though the rooms are huge. I keep expecting her to call my name, but instead I hear creaks and strange noises that make me stop moving. The house feels like it’s breathing. Like it knows I’m there.
I move from room to room, solving small things, opening doors I’m not sure I should open. My heart jumps more than once. Some scares hit fast. Others sneak up slowly and sit with me longer. The music makes it worse in a good way. It crawls under my skin and doesn’t let go.
I feel confused, scared, and curious all at the same time. I want to leave, but I also need to know what’s really happening. Every hallway feels like a bad idea, but I keep walking anyway. When I finally understand what BABULYA really is, I feel a mix of shock and sadness.
