When I first dropped into the pit, I didn’t think I’d last five minutes. It looked endless, just darkness swallowing light, and those strange creatures waiting for me below. I remember throwing the first ball and watching it bounce around, hitting everything like it had a mind of its own. It was kind of funny at first — then it got serious fast. Every bounce meant survival. Every fuse I made changed the way I fought.
After a while, I started to understand the rhythm of it all. The pit wasn’t just danger; it was a heartbeat. You dive deeper, you build stronger, and somehow it all connects. Back up top, I’d use whatever I found to rebuild New Ballbylon, adding one piece at a time, making it feel like home even if the ground kept shaking beneath it. Watching it grow made every fall worth it.
Sometimes the pit felt alive — like it was watching, waiting. I’d lose count of how many times I almost gave up, but then I’d unlock a new ball or meet a new ally, and suddenly I was back in it again. It’s weird how something so chaotic can feel comforting once you understand it.
