The energy system gave me powerful abilities, and also collecting brains was really helpful to me in leveling up mid-run, pushing my build further each time.
What kept me hooked was the fast-paced gameplay and how smooth everything felt—tight controls, satisfying weapons, and a strong feedback loop that never got boring. Whether I was mowing down zombies solo or teaming up in co-op with a friend, every run brought something fun. Each character had their own stats and starting weapons, which added just enough variety without feeling overwhelming.
The art surprised me. Even in this grim world, the color palette added a weird sense of brightness that made the gore pop without feeling grimdark. Uncovering secret areas, trying out new weapons, and unlocking more content was responsible for making the whole ride feel like a proper arcade adventure.
Sure, a couple achievements bugged out, and the XP pickups didn’t always pull in easily—but honestly, none of that killed the momentum.
