Dungeons 2 felt like slipping into a world where being evil wasn’t just allowed — it was encouraged, almost celebrated, in this goofy, theatrical way that made me grin even when things got messy. The first time I dropped into my dungeon, everything felt warm and familiar: the dim glow of torches, the little workers scurrying around, the promise of building something dark and ridiculous from scratch.
Creating the dungeon felt almost peaceful at first — carving tunnels, placing rooms, setting up traps. There’s something strangely comforting about carving out your own underground kingdom, even if it’s full of monsters who sometimes need a slap to behave.
Then the overworld missions kicked in, and suddenly I was marching squads across bright human cities, watching my creatures wreak havoc under the sunshine. It felt strange at first, stepping out of the safety of my walls, but there was this fun chaos in commanding a little army and watching them tear through cheerful buildings and smug heroes.
The narrator kept chiming in with jokes and references — sometimes funny, sometimes more like a friend telling the same story for the fifth time — but after a while it all blended into the background, part of the game’s odd charm. I didn’t take it too seriously, and the game didn’t really want me to anyway.
