Gundroid threw me back to those crazy days of old-school run-and-gun games. Here you’re just running, shooting, and trying not to die a million times. You play as G.U.N.N.R., this badass android, blasting aliens and dodging everything they throw at you.
At first, I kept getting hit, but then I learned enemy patterns and started gliding through attacks like a pro. That glide move is clutch—it’s what makes this game different and fun. You gotta shoot, jump, and slide at just the right moments or you’re toast. It’s tough but fair.
There are six stages packed with crazy enemies, mini-bosses, and big bosses that test your reflexes hard. The controls felt tight, and I didn’t run into any bugs, which is awesome since it’s mostly a one-person job behind this game.
The game gives you options too—either infinite continues but starting from checkpoints, or a tougher mode with limited lives. I messed around with both, but the checkpoint mode let me really enjoy the chaos without rage quitting.
If you grew up loving games like Contra or Blazing Chrome, Gundroid nails that feeling but with a fresh spin. It’s fast, flashy, and totally addictive. I wasn’t expecting to get hooked so quickly, but here I am, already thinking about my next run through New Port City.
