The fictional Guntama region is stunning. Whether drifting through neon-lit city streets or racing up narrow mountain roads under the stars, the open world has so much charm. There’s traffic, a full day-night cycle, changing weather, and even hidden sidequests to discover as you roam. I spent hours just cruising and soaking it all in.
What really sets this apart, though, is the storytelling, as you play as a foreigner trying to earn respect on Japan’s drift scene, and the manga cutscenes give everything a stylish and heartfelt touch. The soundtrack, radio stations, and car audio feel authentic too, pulling you deeper into the vibe.
Sure, there’s more I hope gets added—like multiplayer and new biomes—but as it stands, JDM feels like the start of something great. It’s not just a drift game.
