Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos is one of those games that made me laugh out loud before I even started playing. You’re on a motorbike, zooming around wild arenas to collect slimy little Dogoos, which fans of the Neptunia series will recognize. And yes, the plot is peak Neptunia chaos: you're in some random dimension, your friends are obsessed with these bouncy blobs, and the only way to save them is. Collecting more blobs on a bike. Of course.
Gameplay-wise, it’s like Mario Kart battle mode collided with Katamari Damacy and somehow got a Neptunia makeover. You ride, collect Dogoos, dodge hazards, and use power-ups to mess with your opponents. The arenas are fun and colourful, and the powerslide mechanic, while a bit twitchy, keeps things fast-paced and chaotic in a good way. Each character plays differently, so whether you like up-close brawling or long-range chaos, there’s someone for your style.
I enjoyed my short time with the game; it’s light, funny, and just dumb fun in the best way. But yeah, it’s brief. You can finish all 15 levels in about 2–3 hours. Even if you’re a completionist like me, it’s still over before it gets going. There’s no multiplayer, which feels like a big missed opportunity. I would’ve loved to battle friends in this goofy Dogoo rodeo. The humour, the characters, the weirdness, it all worked for me. Just don’t expect a huge game. It’s a cute, weird, and colourful distraction that’s over way too soon. Once you've blasted through waves of Dogoos, download Starless Abyss and experience a slower, more intense game where every decision could mean life or madness.
