Neuter Master was one of those games I opened just to “check it out for a minute,” and then suddenly I was three in-game years deep and talking to my animals like they could hear me. At the start I just stared at the grid, matching whatever I could, pretending I actually had a plan.
After a while I started to care about these weird little herds I was building. Spring always felt like a fresh start, like, okay, this year I won’t mess it up. Then summer came and everyone started breeding like crazy and my nice, clean grid turned into a noisy mess.
Autumn was my favorite part. Lining things up, watching the gold pop in, feeling that tiny rush when a combo worked better than I expected. Sometimes I got a “jackpot” by accident and just sat there laughing because I absolutely did not mean to do that.
Winter slowed everything down. That’s when I study the herd and decide who stays, who I snip, and who I send away. It sounds a bit dark, but in the game it just feels kind of funny and calm at the same time.
I never really felt like a real master, but I did feel weirdly proud of my chaotic little herd.
