Recharge dropped me into the driver’s seat of an RC car and made it feel like I was racing for real. The second my wheels hit the track, I knew this wasn’t just some casual arcade racer—it had the feel of a full-blown RC simulator, but without losing the fun.
The controls were tight, and every drift or jump gave me that perfect dose of adrenaline. I started tweaking my car almost immediately—upgrading the motor, swapping the chassis, and adding a custom paint job that made it feel truly mine.
At first, I stuck to singleplayer, trying to beat my own ghost and test different setups. But once I jumped into multiplayer, things got wild. Even in early access, the game felt alive—dodging rivals, pulling tight turns, and trying to outpace others in chaotic lobbies made each race a challenge worth repeating.
Sure, it's still got a few bumps. I ran into some lag when the camera swung around big areas, and controller support in the menus could be smoother. But even with those early access hiccups, I could see the passion in the design. It plays like the devs are RC fans themselves.
Recharge didn’t just remind me why I love racing games—it made me want to keep building, tweaking, and racing until I had the perfect setup. And if this is just the beginning, I’m definitely in for the long haul.
