The MC is a veteran named Skif. Skif watches an anomaly hit his hometown and quickly runs down into the Zone to resolve the issue.
With a fun story this game is the good keeping you all occupied, chasing away all boredom. For example, you can give a special item to one guy or sell it to someone else for more money. You can even trick them both, it’s up to you. There are different groups in the game, and depending on what you do, you’ll side with one of them.
Combat is serious here. Guns need care, and bullets are not always easy to find. You carry a few weapons, so you’ll want to pick ones you like and keep them in good shape. If your gun jams in a fight, it can be very bad. So plan ahead.
The Zone is full of dangers because there are deadly anomalies everywhere. You’ll need to throw bolts ahead to stay safe. Healing takes time. If you get hurt, you might bleed. Bandages stop bleeding, but they don’t heal. Food helps your health, but it won’t stop the bleeding. So, you have to think fast during battles. Some are linked to missions, but many are just out there, waiting for you to find.
The game looks amazing too. The world is dark and broken, but it still looks beautiful. The weather changes as you play, and it feels very real. But be ready, this game is tough on your PC. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl is not perfect. Some bugs are there, and the AI isn’t always great. But when it works, it really feels like you're living inside the Zone. If you’re okay with a few problems, the game is worth playing.
