Slime Rancher 2 is the next game after the first Slime Rancher. Just like before, you play as Beatrix LeBeau, but now you explore a brand new set of islands. But now the world is bigger, and there are a number of other small improvements, making things much nicer.
You start with a new home and a big space called the conservatory. The more you play it, the bigger the area gets, eventually making your ranch bigger, and as the story moves forward, you will get messages from other characters. But most of the time, you make your own story by raising slimes and exploring.
The game feels a lot like the first one. You use your vacuum tool to suck up slimes, food, and materials. Then you shoot them into pens or machines. When you feed slimes, they drop “plorts,” which you sell to make money. If you feed them their favorite food, you get extra plorts.
You can also mix slimes together to make “Largos.” These are big slimes with traits from both types. But if you mix too many, they can turn into scary black slimes called “Tarrs.” Tarrs can ruin your ranch if you’re not careful, so make sure your slimes are well-fed and safe.
