Thronefall PC Download
Thronefall caught me off guard with how simple it felt at first. Building up my tiny kingdom by day and then rushing to get ready for whatever monsters showed up at night made me want to keep going, just one more round. I wasn’t a big strategy player before, but this game didn’t make my head hurt.
Each level pushed me a little harder. Sometimes I wondered if I should spend gold on more walls or more archers, and sometimes I just charged right at the enemy on my horse, hoping for the best. There were nights when I barely made it through, holding my breath until the sun finally peeked over my little kingdom again.
I liked that I could play how I wanted. Sometimes I sat back and let my buildings do the work. Other times I jumped into the fight, feeling like I was right there with my soldiers.
The art was simple but charming, and the levels kept me guessing. Some days it felt easy, and other times it threw me into a wall I had to figure out before moving on. Losing wasn’t so bad because I could just try again and learn something new each time.
There’s not much story here, but I didn’t miss it. Just me, my kingdom, and the fight to keep it alive. It’s the kind of game you can finish a quick session on and still want to come back for more. If the kingdom-building challenges of Thronefall pulled you in, then download Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to return to epic Viking battles and wild, untamed lands.
