Warm Monkey felt like the kind of game where I didn’t really know what I was doing at first, but I kept moving anyway because something about the city felt alive and a little too warm, like the air was sticking to my skin. The first moment that tiny monkey popped next to me, I kind of laughed, because suddenly I wasn’t alone anymore. Then another one came, and another, and the whole thing felt like trying to guide a group of friends who barely listened but still trusted me somehow.
I kept watching the water bar like it was a heartbeat. Every time one of my monkeys turned red, I panicked a little, rushing toward the nearest puddle. Sometimes we made it, sometimes one of them fell behind or wandered too close to the road, and it stung in this small, quiet way. They felt fragile, even though they were supposed to be these tough little city monkeys.
Running through the buildings felt almost freeing. Climbing up trees, jumping between rooftops, slipping through alleyways… it made the city feel huge and strange, like a maze built for creatures way braver than me. And the whole time, the group behind me kept stumbling and falling and doing their own thing, and I just tried my best to hold everyone together long enough to reach the sea.
