9 Kings pulled me in with its mix of chaos and strategy. At first, I just wanted to see what kind of kingdom I could build—but the more I played, the more obsessed I became with all the crazy combos. It’s a fast-paced roguelike where every run feels wild and different. I’d start small with just a few buildings and troops; before I knew it, I had armies of wizards, knights, and mushrooms battling it out.
For some runs, I’d build up a super strong defence. In contrast, I’d go whole offence for others, breaking the game with spells and stacking perks until everything on the screen exploded in colour and chaos. I won’t lie—it can get buggy sometimes. One time, rats broke my game. Another run got wiped out because of a crash. The game has that addictive feel; you want to try one more run to see what overpowered madness you can create.
If you’re into games like Thronefall or Slay the Spire, this 9 Kings is a no-brainer. It’s fun, full of surprises, and still growing with updates. Honestly, for the price, it’s a steal. I’m waiting to see what the next update adds because I’m not done being the King of Kings yet.
