OceanPunk felt like being dropped into the middle of a strange, broken sea with nothing but scraps and hope. I started on this tiny floating raft, collecting whatever I could — bottles, gears, coral — just to keep going. The ocean wasn’t friendly. One moment it was calm, the next it was throwing storms and freezing winds at me like it wanted me gone.
I had no idea what I was doing at first. I built a little corner to stay dry, tried to fish, and messed up more than once. Then came the cold snap. I didn’t have warm clothes, and I could feel my character slowing down like the sea was freezing my bones.
Eventually, I found a tavern. Not like a full bar — more like a place to trade and maybe bring someone new onto the raft. I remember getting excited when I finally recruited someone to help. I stopped feeling so alone, even though I still had to do most of the work myself.
The ocean kept shifting. Some days I caught fish, other days I fought off sea creatures. There were these weird machines I had to power up, and sometimes strange merchants floated by offering random stuff. It always felt like I was on the edge of something — either survival or total collapse.
I started upgrading things, building better tools, expanding the raft into a real base. My character got stronger too — dashing around and fighting like a proper survivor. But it never got easy. The sea always had something new to throw at me.
